Hill Country Jane is as welcome a new sound to the Texas Music scene, as rain is to the sun-drenched drought stricken Texas Hill Country. Nothing pretentious, no formulaic following. Texas Gulf Coast Country Soul lives here. ”

"Homegrown Texas Music"

Formed in Austin, TX, now based out of their hometown of Houston, Hill Country Jane brings their own blend of Country, Rock, Americana Soul, and Blues to the Texas/Red Dirt Music scene. Upon the release of their debut LP, "The Great Charade", the buzz about the band began to grow. Soon after, the exit of a couple members created the perfect opportunity for what was left of HCJ to join forces with some old friends and get straight to work writing what was to be their sophomore album, "Homegrown.” The single from this album, “Southern Sunday,” broke into the Top 50 on the Texas Music Chart and Top 25 on the Texas Regional Radio Report.  Throughout the years, the band has been blessed to have played some of the finest venues across the state, from the legendary Tin Hall and Firehouse Saloon in Houston, Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, to Antone’s and The Saxon Pub in Austin. In addition to live music venues, the guys have performed at many great festivals and rodeos as well, such as the Pasadena Strawberry Festival, Texas Gatorfest in Anahuac, The Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo, and the World-Famous Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo just to name a few.  Along the way they have also had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the best acts in the business, from Texas/Red Dirt artists like Whiskey Meyers, Turnpike Troubadours, Stoney LaRue, Charlie Robison, Reckless Kelly and Kevin Fowler to National acts such as Clay Walker, Rick Trevino, Johnny Lee, David Allan Coe and Bad Company, as well as Grammy Award winners Travis Tritt and Wayne Toups.

So, if you’re looking for the full 5-piece band rockin’ stage show or just a stripped-down, intimate acoustic performance, Hill Country Jane can provide exactly what you need to fit the moment.

We look forward to sharing our brand of “Homegrown Texas Music” with y'all!
